RE: Peoplesoft integration with CF

we do this extensively, writing many custom apps interfacing with PS data.  We do this via nightly feeds and sometimes db-links.  I dunno about any best-practises though other than only get what data you really need for external non PS apps, as in use the employee data related to the company only, no feeds of personal data, salaries, NIDs, etc.  We usually build tables like current day position tree data and effective-dated employee data for the most part, using these to build roll-up reports and such.

Can anyone give me any best practice scenarios to integration or synchronization of CF with an existing PeopleSoft implementation?  Client is very touchy with us having access to live data.  We will need to have read only privileges, capability of creating some sort of CSV or table for PeopleSoft to query for nightly update.
