In an Allaire article they suggest these items, in order to improve ODBC
connectivity:
"Regardless of whether you use OLE DB or ODBC connections, here are some
additional steps that can improve your Access database connectivity:
On the Server Settings page in ColdFusion Administrator,
set Limit Simultaneous Requests to 5-7 per processor.
In ColdFusion Administrator, modify every Access ODBC Datasource and set the
following (you will need to click the CF Settings button to see these):
Buffer Size = 0 (ODBC only)
Page Timeout = 600 (ODBC only)
Uncheck Maintain Database Connections "
My questions are:
1. Is there any affect on setting the buffers=0
2. Any noticeable affect on "Uncheck Maintain Database Connections"
I have read previous info from Allaire that "Uncheck Maintain Database
Connections " could cause a performace degradation.
Also, since we configure our ODBC datasources automagically, is there a way
to default these settings in CF?
Thanks anyone,
