Wow that's a lot. We've got a very heavy reporting system running off a
cluster of two machines...and the JVM is set at max of 512mb. We get
peaks of 350mb+ but it garbage collects quite efficiently.

There must be something amuck in ur code somewhere....

I the past, I had some poorly written regex routines that would kill my
server and result in JavaOutOfMemory errors when the data to parse was
large. I think I might have some more of these hiding around, unless you

all think that 750 megs is normal....
