problem with mail attachements

Hello again.  I am trying to write a web based email client, and I have a
minor problem.  It does everything fine, except for dealing with
attachments.  Specifically, I have code in the view message page that checks
for the existence of attachments.  This does not ,however, seem to work
Here's what I get:

An error occurred while evaluating the expression:
 ParamterExists(Message.Attachments)

Error resolving parameter MESSAGE.ATTACHMENTS
The column ATTACHMENTS is not present in the query named MESSAGE. It is
likely that you have misspelled the name of the column.

Any idea what could be causing this?
