Not to stick my nose in, but the comment on not needing logs caught my
attention.

Don't think that not writing logs can somehow absolve you in the case of
legal issues.  It depends on your business and what, exactly, you're logging
but in some cases failure to log can be considered criminally negligent.

The audit and records requirements are specific to different industries, but
the rules are getting stricter across the board lately.  Especially for
financial institutions (now that laundering money is considered a terrorist
activity).
