Default no, but common yes. CF Studio 4.5.1 on Win 98 would crash about
twice a day for me until I added another 64MB of ram.
No such problem on NT 4 or Win2000.

particular Win98 machine after a few minutes.

You cannot make me believe that this is CF Studio's "default behaviour"
on
Win98....
