Passing SessionID into/out of Flash

I have a flash nav menu, placed in a CFM page, with the links inside flash
coded in AS:

On release () {
getURL ('http://www.somesite.com/index.cfm')
}

I want to be able to use the function URLSessionFormat to maintain state
between pages (so the site works in a cookieless environment). How is it
accomplished?
