Basically the situation is data syndication from an older (CF5 shift_JIS)
site to a newer (CFMX 6.1 UTF-8) site. This was working fine until the newer
site's server was replaced yesterday. An upgrade is planned for the older
site but that can't be undertaken immediately.

'shift-jis'?
