Just to note, I asked the University myself (instead of relying on the info from others) if there are any tools that we can use to work with the Oracle DBs and I was told that "there's nothing that you can't do with a CF entry that you can with those tools. It's more secure with a shared hosting environment to just allow CF."
Shame as I would like more information at hand to determine my sequence/trigger problems.
