Using HTTPS doesn't have anything to do with the headers you send. I'm not
sure about the problems you're running into with CF 5 and CFHTTP using
HTTPS, but you can always find an alternative HTTP client that you can use
from within CF. If you're running CF 5 on Windows, there are plenty of COM
objects that can send HTTP requests, or even arbitrary messages over the TCP
port of your choice.
