Robert, what specifically has been your problem? If you use CFHTTP's
READBINARY option, you should be able to call your ASP script and get the
file back in return, no? We heavily use a Python-based PDF engine here at my
company to generate PDFs, which are binary as I'm sure you know. I make a
CFHTTP call to the Python engine, and then get the binary stream back and
serve it with cfcontent.
Again, any more info on your specific issues with working with binary data
and ColdFusion might help. Also, your platform/CF version information would
help.
