The complete file is 3.8 meg, 3400 songs/audios

But, if you want to play, iTunes is available, free, on Mac an Windows
at:

    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

You can just insert a CD, & capture all the songs (building playlists,
database, xml file, etc)

This application (and iPhoto, iDVD, etc) really cries out for a db.
Maybe next release of OS X will have the db-based file system that
Apple is rumored to be developing.

I have never used XSL, so this now I need to go learn that...

No luck so far -- I saved your example as:

    playlists.xsl

Then added the following to my xml file:

    <?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="">
But I don't get anything meaningful:

Safari -- just displays the xml data and ignores the xml tags

FireFox and Moxilla give:

Error loading stylesheet: An XSLT stylesheet does not have an XML
mimetype:

IE, comes the closest :

displays a horizontal bar, then   Playlist Files Link:

But, if you display source, all you see is the XML file, with no XSL
formatting

The list is fine -- since iTunes is available for windows too, it could
be of broader interest
