Keep in mind, this is just for to develop on my Powerbook. I have
development tools at work, and I've got a PC with a Single User Dev License
of SQL Server at the house too. I'm just looking to "expand" my
knowledgebase and work with tools that I don't normally get to work with.
Where I work, we're strictly MS Access/SQL Server and CFMX on Win2k with
IIS. I kind of bought the PowerBook with the whole "Jrun/Apache/CFMXj2ee"
paradigm in mind. What I kind of overlooked was the whole unanswered
database question.
I'm trying to avoid PHP (only because I know CFML and want to stick with
what I know) but this was really an exercise in being able to work an
different types of solutions in Unix/Apache world. Where I don't normally
reside.
