JRun is a "for Purchase" product on the Mac or you can download the
free developer version.
You can't buy CFMX for the Mac, but you can download the free developer
version of CFMX J2ee
There is no other option but CFMX J2ee on the Mac
But, I've been told, you can purchase a CFMX J2ee license key for
another platform and enter it and CFMX Mac will run with full
capability, though, you are on your own, as MM does not support the Mac
for Production
If you want to Run with no MM support, on the Mac, it looks like you
must also purchase a license for JRun.
Doesn't this mean the Mac user will pay more for the same product
configuration (JRun + CFMX J2ee) even though he only gets support for
less (JRun only)?
Don't get me wrong, I understand the support issue & I appreciate that
MM made a Mac version of CFMX available (supported for development
only).
And for anybody willing to Put this into production on a Mac, would
consider the price of JRun acceptable.
It just seems a little strange -- maybe that's why people say Macs are
more expensive %^)>
