yes, dithering is the soft edges on some letters so that curved
letters like C or B will not appear to have jagged edges

So, as a means of explanation for those of us who are following this
thread hoping to learn something.

That was done with No-dithering?  If I understand dithering correctly
to be the in-between colors around the edges to make them softer and
fuzzier?
