Linux, CF 4.51 (although it would probably be the same on NT)

several CF sites (each with own application name).

each site has one or more exclusive datasources, with unique login names
and passwords for each database.

Is there a way to stop one site from logging into another datasource?

I thought about forcing each user to put a username and password in their
CFQUERY, but that means I've got usernames and passwords in plain text in
files on each site.

So I could have each username and password in an encrypted CF file for each
site, but CFDECRYPT will get the password back... same problem.

any ideas? What is the securest way to set up many datasources, and ensure
that only the desired user will have access?

thanks,
