I posted a question yesterday regarding grabbing the oldest 5 records in a
table, and I got a response which showed me how to do it. I passed the info
along to my CTO, who promptly told me that it didn't work. So I checked it.
It worked. My CTO said it didn't. So then we started comparing code. The
select statement was the same, but on his machine it didn't work. Very
weird. We've compared everything about the servers, and the only thing
we've been able to find different is the fact that mine's a fresh SQL Server
7 install, while his is an upgrade from 6.5. Has anyone else encountered
problems with upgrading like this? Anyone have an explanation and/or a fix
for this problem?
