The next version of CFEclipse has been released and is available to
the general CF coding public as of now. Version 1.1.13 is more of a
user-focussed release and has the following new features:
� Eclipse update is now on-line (see next section).
� CFML syntax dictionary has some minor improvements.
� Improved auto-insertion, tag closing & indenting.
� Preference page for code auto-insertion, tag closing & indenting.
You can find it under "CFEclipse->Auto-insertion & closing".
� Implemented feature #67: "Right-click <cfinclude> tag "open included
file" in context menu".
� Implemented right-click "open file" for outline view.
� Implemented not only for <cfinclude> but also for <cfmodule>.
� Implemented quote step through on manually inserted tag attributes.
� Added File Parser preference page. You can turn off Problem reporting
(clears all current problems as well).
� Return types shown in CFC methods view.
� Syntax highlighting improved slightly.
� F5 will refresh the browser.
� Ctrl+space triggers content assist when editing CFML.
� CFML Project added under CFML Wizard.
� CFM/CFC file icon changed.
Installation/Update:
To install or update CFEclipse, perform the following steps:
1. Select the "Help->Software Updates->Find and install" menu option
2. On the screen that is displayed, select 'Search for new features to
install' and click the 'Next' button.
3. Now click the 'New Remote Site' button.
4. Enter a name for the update site, for example "CFEclipse".
In the URL box, enter http://cfeclipse.tigris.org and click the
OK button
5. You should now have a 'CFEclipse' node in the 'Sites to include
in search' box. Expand the CFEclipse node and you will see two
child nodes: 'com.rohanclan.cfml.release.stable' and
'com.rohanclan.cfml.release.bleedingedge'
6. Tick the 'Stable CFEclipse' box and click 'Next'
7. Eclipse will contact the CFEclipse site and retrieve the list
of available plugins. Tick the plugin with the highest version
number and click 'Next'
8. The next instructions are self-explanatory
9. Once Eclipse has restarted CFEclipse should have been successfully
installed
10. If you have an editor already linked to cfm, cfc, cfml, htm, or
html files you'll need to change the editor setting in
Window/Preferences then in the tree select Workbench/File
Associations, and set cfm, cfc, cfml, htm and html to the CFML
Editor.
