Resolution?

I got a message from discoverbiz.com today listing site improvements, and one thing they list is "Screen layout automatically adjusts for higher resolutions".  As far as I could tell on a few pages, this meant that text wrapped in a different place and there was more white space to the right with larger displays - big deal.  It made me wonder, though - is there some way to tell what their resolution is, and really do something useful with it?
