1. Check the latest updates from Macromedia. Have you installed all of the relevant Hotfixes for your system?
2. Monitor memory usage for the jrun.exe process. Various people I have talked with have said that JRun can hit a ceiling on memory usage where all of a sudden the process hits 100% cpu usage and becomes unstable, then may crash or hang.
I have experienced this problem on at least two servers and I was able to remedy it by installing the Hotfixes, adding RAM to the servers, and increasing the maximum JVM heap size in Cold Fusion Administrator. Be careful, if your heap size is the same size as or larger than the total physical memory in your system, you may have problems if your memory usage spikes up to the max.
