did you have poi-2.5-final-20040302.jar in the same directory or a
similar package from POI (http://jakarta.apache.org/poi/), this should
stop the org/apache/poi/poifs/filesystem/POIFSFileSystem error

Finally worked out, the excel file was saved in excel 2003 format, I
saved it in excel 97 format and its start working.
