Well you can create a new date object using CreateDateTime, CreateODBCDateTime, after stripping out the wanted values with Left, Right and Mid.


So for DD-MM-YYYY you could do


<cfset datevar = "20-07-2004">
<cfset tmp = createODBCDate(createDate(ListGetAt(datevar,3,"-"), ListGetAt(datevar,2,"-"), ListGetAt(datevar,1,"-")))>
