Ben,
Unless I am not understanding you properly, your scenario many not be applicable to a typical CFMX install, which is what I am dealing with. If I wanted to move my CFAdmin directory, I would just move the folder to wherever I wanted, then create a virtual directory to that new location inside of my Web server (assuming I am not using the built-in CFMX Web server for CFAdmin). For a typical CFMX setup, I would rather handle the URL "interception" at the Web server level instead of at the JRun level.

Getting back to my original question, one of my concerns is why every single request seems to trigger a failed lookup of the file inside of C:\cfusionmx\. I looked into what happens a little further, and I actually was slightly mistaken. Without the mapping in jrun-web.xml, one failed lookup attempt is still made before jrun starts looking in the Web root. With the virtual mapping, jrun makes two failed lookup attempts. My contention is that there should not be any failed lookup attempts because the Web server should be telling JRun where the file is located on the hard drive. Does anyone know if there is a setting which stops JRun from looking inside of C:\cfusionmx\ for files? I am using filemon.exe for my analysis.

Thank you,
Mike Chabot
