I'm not sure if you'll be able to avoid reinstalling CFMX simply because I
haven't done such an upgrade. However, you can simply back up and restore
your CFMX settings if necessary, so it shouldn't be a problem.
I'm pretty sure that, in any case, you'll have to reinstall the JRun web
server connector, since the IIS 5 and IIS 6 versions are substantially
different. But you can do this without reinstalling CFMX itself, as long as
you don't run into other issues (like the upgrade not remembering what
services you have installed).
Finally, do you really need to use Advanced Server? You might be able to
save a little license money if you don't.
