CFMX uses utf-8 natively and i've seen it completely ignore meta
http-equiv="Content-Type" tags that worked fine in CF5. Just a guess.

Hello everyone,
I have a webpage with an Arabic Keyboard which is displayed using some
_javascript_ to display various buttons. It works fine on CFMX but just
display ?? on CF 5 running on the same machine and using the same
browser. I have following set on my display page

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1256" />
