That is indeed what they are...what seems to be happening is that the user
is copy n pasting from a different app - say MS Word and when you enter you
are keeping the tabs.....you could do a replace on thse CHR(10) and CHR(13)
(I think)

What code are you using to insert and retrieve>

Subject: sql table stores a special character when the form is submitted

I'm working on this application which allows users to add comments through a
html editor. Users can drop a table, change the text size, font, left/right
justify etc etc. I don't understand why when the form the submitted, the
column that stores the comments has this funny character (its the shape of
a "square"), 4 in total at the beginning of the comment.
I copied the comments and pasted it in a notepad. notepad adds 4 tabs at the
start of the comment. Can anybody suggest what to do to get rid of this
character?
