cfscript is going absolutely nowhere if for no other reason that
backwards-compatibility, which Macromedia is very conscious of in
their releases. But it's all about your personal preference. A lot of
people, including myself, find it easier on the eyes to write in
cfscript for the bulk of my logic. Lots of people find the opposite to
be true. However, there are lots of syntax constructs that cfscript
doesn't support, so you have to use it judiciously.

All that being said, I wouldn't look for cfscript to be enhanced
either. There might be a construct or two (I'd really love to see the
"finally" construct be added, but alas) that might get added, but I
wouldn't look for all tags to become cfscript-enabled either. If you
follow Macromedia's Blackstone focus, you'll note that they're
focusing on bigger features like reporting and rich forms.
