No there's not. At least none that I'm aware of, and given the state
of browser "security" nowadays, I wouldn't expect there to be one...
Granted, I wouldn't expect there to be one anyway, just because access
to a client's hardware isn't an objective of DOM and is generally
tentative at best even in proprietary implementations like MSIE. It
boils down basically to the same reason you can't print to the
client's printer - at most you can make the browser display the print
dialog.
