ok, well I figured that out. It had extra non-displayed characters, gremlins, which I used bbEdit to find and delete. After that, no extra characters - yay!
Thank you everyone who helped. You were a great help and I learned alot here, especially how little DB language I know. I'll have to do more learning in that area ASAP.
