call it once and assign the return var to a variable.  


then just call returnvar.functionName


ie


myWidget = createObject("component", myComponentPath);
myWidget.init();
stockCode = myWidget.getStockCode();


I think... I'm a noob to the wonders that is CFMX being still stuck on
CF5 in work :(
