Depending on what this machine is doing, I would have to agree with
this. When you say that your SUSE machine is a router, what do mean?
If you are simply using this machine for internet sharing, then go for
it, install away. It is going to as safe on this machine as on any
other machine. However, if this machine is being used as a real
router, i.e., iptables, instrusion detection, squid, snort, etc, then
I would advice finding a different machine to use as a server.

Plus, by putting a server on your router, you are potentially exposing
the server to the outside world.
