has been my preferred method of doing it as a way of preventing
accidental inserts): FireFox (at least 0.9.2) will still process the
action page even if you do a refresh.
For example, use a form page. On the action page, do a redirect to
www.yahoo.com. Hit refresh. You'll still get the "Do you want to
resubmit the form" confirmation box and the action page will process,
even if the refresh just brings up Yahoo again.
I just tried this with incrementing a session value. One time it
didn't give me the confirmation box, the other time it did. I'm not
sure why it didn't give it to me the first time, but fairly
consistently it gives it to me. But, it did increment the session
value even when redirecting.
I'm not sure if this behavior will be changed in a later version, but
I certainly hope so. If not, as FireFox grows in popularity, this
method may not work anymore.
