THE SCENARIO:
We have a Flash "animation" (well images with an audio track). After
viewing a section of this animation, the user taps a button to move onto the
next section. Each section is a seperate SWF that gets loaded into the main
movie.
THE PROBLEM:
We have an intermittent issue with one of the sections. This particular
section is roughly twice the size of any of the other sections (file size
wise...about 5.5 MB). It seems that mabye the file is too large and is
either causing the Flash movie to die (doesn't freeze...screen goes black)
or is actually killing the Pocket PC (Dell Axim X3). We can recover by
rebooting the Pocket PC or pressing one of the device buttons to break the
Flash movie out of full screen mode (full screen player provided Ant
Mobile - Flash Assist).
So does anybody know anything about mpossible memory leaks or issues with
loading large SWFs that could cause Flash (or mabye the Ant Mobile player)
to crap out?
TIA
Cheers
