I run through the installer and things seem to go smoothly.
However when the install wizard is complete and it wants to launch the
CF administrator IE (or firefox for that matter) prompts me to
download the .cfm file (and helpfully offers to open homesite for me).
I remember seeing this problem before (back in the murky depths of
time) and I even remember that it had something to do with mapping the
.cfm extension to the appropriate dll so that IIS knows what to do
with the request.
I messed around in IIS (and on google) and found that the mapping
could be accomplished in the IIS Admin under the Configuration button
on the Home Directory tab on the default Web Site Properties. I got
in there and the mappings are 1. there and 2. look to be correct.
(.jps, .jws, .cfm, .cfml, and .cfc are all mapped to
C:\CFusionMX\runtime\lib\wsconfig\1\jrun.dll on all Verbs).
So I am stymied. Can anyone suggest another approach???
