Flash has to use an XML file, and that can be generated by anything.

I've found PHP people get in a tizz before if you mention ColdFusion.
Instead of discussing the issue at hand, you waste time debating over
whether PHP is better than ColdFusion. (In that case I wanted to try
to have a PHP user consume a web service but never did get any help,
even after 4 months of trying. I ended up giving up on it).
