My CFLDAP wiz tells me that you need to identify your separator. I'm not sure that is the problem, but give it a shot. See the example below:

<cfldap action=""
DN="#ListName#"
attributes="member=#memberID#"
separator="$"
modifytype="REPLACE"
server="your.server.nameOrIP"
port="389"
username="adminUser"
password="xxxxxx">
