I can see it being valuable if you've got a site with lot of static
content, because you'd probably want more web servers than you'd need
CF servers. With distributed, you could run several web servers for
the static content and have them connect to one or two shared CF
servers for dynamic calls. Distributed mode also lets a machine from
your web cluster die without affecting the app cluster, and the
converse, because you can load balance in both places separately.
