Either write a script that'll process your web server logs and get the
stats you want, or use a log file analysis program to do that, and
then extract the data from the reports it generates.  Every hosting
company worth it's salt will supply you with raw logs or at least a
way to view your stats.  Just batch process them once a day or
whatever, and store the data you need in the database for easy recall,
and you're set.
