There is a CustomTag, CFX_IMAP, that allows ColdFusion to support IMAP.
Also, Blue Dragon has a built-in tag, CFIMAP.

A single tag for both protocols would probably be more confusing then
keeping them separate. IMAP supports a boat-load more functionality than
POP so combining them in a single tag would likely not make sense.
