This has nothing to do with the ColdFusion services.  ColdFusion doesn't
server images or other non-CF files (unless you use CFCONTENT).


You can relieve some stress on your entire web server by using a totally
separate web server to serve images.  This would mean extra hardware and
bandwidth are required.


Otherwise, creating a new domain on the same physical server should not
speed nor slow the download of images unless the browser has some
peculiarities.

ummm
i could be wrong but i sure cant see how making the app do more work is
gunna speed it up
just has to go farther to find it, logically it would slow it down.
