wait till all these cheapo companies need to switch to rias then watch them cry cause
they chose something else.
Now, i do think MM hasnt done a very good job of letting the ppl know that it no
longer is just a tag runner, seems like ppl outside of coldfusion still look at it in
that reguard & not as a very powerfull java based arch.
But again, as i see these apps going to rias it only makes sense to use cfm since it
plays so nicely together. Another problem with cfm is that, lets face it, a lot of u
dont wanna learn a new trick(flash, flex) but u'll learn java or .crap or whatever, i
dont get it?????
I can rant all i want but i wont, not today anyways ;)

cfm has really been here the longest & it sure looks like to me its really getting a
big push forward now that its on java (and .net). Soon as MM makes flex available to
a "poorer" public, i see good things.
But ultimatly its up to us too change ppls minds & lets face it, a lot of programmers
arent very good ppl persons. Its kinda like when i lived in ky all the shit i got
cause i drive a lexus and not a ford but i put them behind the wheel and u couldnt
wipe the shit eatin grin off their face. They just gotta be shown the light, cause all
ppl see is the word "free".
I remember sean corfield saying that they would build mock up sites in cfm and then
plan on rebuilding it "properly" in jsp but most of the time the cfm version worked so
well they said screw it, why remake it in jsp when it works fine in cfm? Now u take a
look at that in terms of cost, how much did they just save? I sure bet it was more
than $1299.
