and i agree but a lot of ppl out there dont know what cfm can do and that is were MM should step in and show it.
like show how effecient cfcs and/or remoting kick ass over everything else or how u can run flex code in yer cfm pages but not php or net, U know? all these great new things are built right off of cfm but they have no idea cause really its not mentioned. I think some clever marketing could get it across very effectiviely. Just like when u watch the "on demand" videos at MM say for flash. Its very obvious that they push flash mx pro. They could do the same with cfm. Ex: they could say sure u can get our remoting for .net but we'd recommend cfm because of the quick dev time and here are some stats on performace, where u can clearly see the cfm advantage, blah blah blah. unfortuantely all ppl see is "free" but they fail to even acknowledge the rest of it. A perfect example is in my real estate dealings u can have 2 houses, say 1 is $100,000 and 1 is $125,000, basically the same house but which 1 are most likely too take? (hint: the 100k one cause its cheaper) but in reality u could add all the variables too each (taxes, insurance, hoa dues, etc) and the 125k one might actaully have a cheaper monthly payment. But ppl are so posseded with the word "free" or "less" or "cheaper" same as u i dont have a prob selling cfm, actually i pray that the other competitors are php, asp or dot net. Cause i know i will bury them, my worst fear is that it will be another cfm guy or gal. ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: "Paul Vernon" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: Thu, 21 Oct 2004 01:33:44 +0100 >Maybe I'm missing the point here but is what you are talking about = really >for MM to show/do?
