I believe this is a time-stamp issue that mucks the site cache and it is possible that the issue is caused by the OS rather than Dreamweaver. The simple fix is to minimize Dreamweaver, delete the file in question, then return to Dreamweaver and save the file using the original file name. Alternatively you can toggle the site cache off/on as this also seems to work in *some* cases. I've stopped using DMX's site cache for other reasons, and I've I not experienced the issue since. If it really has you in a bind you can also try one of the following: I 1: Rename the local directory to dirname_bak. 2: Create a new folder using the original directory name. 3: Copy everything from dirname_bak into the new directory. 4: Delete or archive dirname_bak. 5: Save your file. II Use a time stamp modification tool such as Touch Pro (Win) (http://www.jddesign.f2s.com/touchpro.htm) to reset the file's or the entire site's last modified date and time to the current date and time. I think if Macromedia could nail down why this happens or determine if Dreamweaver is even the culprit, they would fix this problem. -- Best regards, Michael Wilson ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Special thanks to the CF Community Suite Gold Sponsor - CFHosting.net http://www.cfhosting.net Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:4:183877 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/4 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:4 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.4 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
