If you use "CFFORM" with "CFINPUT" you can ensure that they at least enter
something. eg:
<cfform method="post" action="lookup_password.cfm" name="retrieve_password"
enctype="multipart/form-data">
<h4>Retrieve Password</h4>
<p>Email Address:</p>
<p><cfinput name="EmailAddress" type="text" size="20" required="yes"
message="Please enter your Email Address.">
<input type="submit" name="submitbutton" value="Retrieve Password">
