Wouldn't this work:

select distinct(email), "Full Name" from Your_Table?

-Dov

Subject: Modification of a distinct query

What is the simplest way (preferably without multiple queries) of
selecting a single instance of an email address even if multiple
different names are attached. Let me give you an example...

DATA
----
Email Full Name
---------------------- ---------
[EMAIL PROTECTED] James Smith
[EMAIL PROTECTED] Jay Smith
[EMAIL PROTECTED] James Smith

QUERY RESULTS
-------------
Email Full Name
---------------------- ---------
[EMAIL PROTECTED] James Smith
[EMAIL PROTECTED] James Smith

I don't care which of the two "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" results comes out, I
just require one of them. Obviously I can't use DISTINCT because the
two results would be distinct because of the different full name.
