Well, I would gather that since I cannot do it in 6.1 that it's a pre 1.3.2
JavaMail version which does not support SMTPS or TLS!  Damn it...will
contact Tom and see what I get ;-)

Macromedia is! ;)

If I recall correctly, Tom Jordahl at Macromedia posted a long time
ago that cfmail was re-written in MX to use the JavaMail API. I have
no idea what version of the API that cfmail is written against, and I
guess it's also an indirect warning against trying to drop in the
JavaMail jar files into the CF classpath, as that might break the
cfmail tag itself.
