If you were looping over the query you wouldn't need to refer to the function. Also if you did myquery().name, you would only be getting the first record every time, you would just refer to name. I think it's just a limitation in ColdFusion, looks like a lot of people are having this issue. We're very close to being able to do object oriented with CFC, but there still needs to be some work so that we can do the same thing as .NET .
