That is how I have ended up doing it. I created a function to check each field in each row, and create an array of structures. Each array element represents a row in the CSV, if there is an error it populates the structure in the array element that corresponds to the curren trow of the CSV file. Later I check for structures in the array that are not empty and generate an error report for the failed rows, and suck the rest into the DB.
