That's not difficult to work out - no ROI. It would cost far more to develop than I imagine they'd ever make off it - there's just not THAT many people using Linux as a desktop machine. I'd much rather they spent the time and development dollars fixing bugs and adding features on the existing platforms. Plus, most people I know who run Linux as a desktop machine are rather adverse to paying for software...
