It's almost absurd to have a guest book these days without an admin 
system so messages are approved before they go live. I have several 
sites set up this way. If somebody leaves a message, the owner of the 
site gets an email alerting them to approve the message before anybody 
else gets to see it.

One site is mostly for children, and there's no way this side of hell 
I'd let guest book messages be live the second they're entered!

Saves a lot of teeth gnashing in the end!
